We have a long weekend coming between Good Friday on 15 April and Easter Monday on 18 April so if you’re on the hunt for fun things to do around the capital and how to spend your Easter weekend this guide is for you.

Easter Brunch at the Shard

Aqua Shard will be serving a three course Easter special brunch that is perfect to treat yourself. You can enjoy the London skyline views while devouring egg themed dishes. The menu includes various dishes including Eggs Benedict, toasted English muffin, poached Cackleberry Farm egg, hollandaise and honey roast Dingley Dell ham and much more.

BucketRace Easter Scavenger Hunt

Easter isn’t complete without a scavenger hunt. BucketRace is holding a scavenger hunt event sending a group of teams on a 4-hour race around the city where you must compete against one another to complete tasks on a provided bucket list in the hopes of winning tickets to Cadbury World.

Horniman Museum Spring Fair

The Horniman Museum Spring Fair is perfect for a family outing as you can enjoy a range of activities including live music from New Orleans Jazz Band, the Alvar Tree Frogs, a Spring Bonnet Parade and competition, South London Samba, garden tours, vegetarian cooking demonstrations, arts and crafts markets and food stalls and community stalls along with rides, games and face painting. Moreover tickets for children aged 16 and under are free.

Workshops at the Royal Observatory

Royal Observatory in Greenwich is holding various space-related workshops that are perfect for an educational weekend with young kids. Children can learn about the solar system or join Ted the bear on a journey around the solar system in a planetarium show and interactive workshop. There are special workshops catered to the needs of children on the autism spectrum as well.

The Big Fat Quiz of Easter

If you’d rather spend the holiday the comfort of your home with family but still want to do something fun the Fat Big Quiz of Easter is perfect for you. You can compete and take part in the event virtually. The game takes players through 10 rounds of gameplay with lots of interactive graphics, videos, special guests. The event uses YouTube (live broadcast) and Google Forms to submit answers.
